Toronto's Simplest Shroom Tea Recipe
How can something so magical taste so bad? My shroom tea recipe turns magic mushrooms into a psychedelic drink that goes down easy.
Have you noticed how popular magic mushrooms have become in Toronto?
It feels like every area in Toronto has a colourful new magic mushrooms dispensary. If you don’t know where to find one, try Google searching “buy magic mushrooms”. Unlike two years ago, this is what you’ll find on Google today:
Don’t like the idea of walking down Spadina with a bag full of freshly-purchased shrooms?
Then you’re in luck. Unlike two years ago, there’s a ton of same-day shroom delivery companies. They’ll deliver your shrooms quickly & discretely.
If you do a quick search for shroom delivery Toronto on Google, you’ll find 50+ companies that will deliver magic mushrooms to you on the same day that you order them.
Ordering magic mushrooms in Toronto is now as simple as ordering Uber Eats. And you’ll never be prompted to give a 15%, 18% or 20% tip!
I love shrooms but I hate the taste!
Well you’re not alone. Did you know 75% of people hate the taste of shrooms?
So what are your options?
You can grind your shrooms up in a Magic Bullet and sprinkle them all over your favorite food. The only problem is the shroom taste is so powerful that it overwhelms whatever food you’re eating it with. Peanut butter & jelly with shrooms, tends to just taste like shrooms to be honest. Plus, some people get nauseas if they combine shrooms with other food.
Also, nothing makes you cough as much as inhaling that shroom dust when you open the Magic Bullet…
So what do you recommend?
My solution is to make a shroom tea.
Shroom tea reduces the nausea that some people experience when consuming magic mushrooms, and makes consumption much easier. Also, if you use enough flavouring, it doesn’t taste as bad.
So I googled “shroom tea” and there’s like 30 different ways to make it!
I know…
It doesn’t need to be complicated. In fact, you can just use a cup of tea from Tim Hortons or Starbucks, unless you prefer to make your own.
All you need to make the perfect shroom tea is:
Some really potent psychedelic magic mushrooms
A store-bought tea or your own home-brewed tea
Some flavouring or sweetener like lemon or honey
Making the perfect shroom tea:
Buy your favourite tea from Starbucks or Tim Hortons. You can also brew your own. Pick a strong-flavoured tea.
Wait for the tea to cool. Boiling water destroys the psilocybin (the psychedelic compound found in magic mushrooms).
Once the tea has cooled, remove the tea bag.
Add the shrooms & any flavouring like lemon or honey. Break the shrooms into smaller pieces.
Stir for 3-5 minutes.
Drink the tea. Despite the strong flavouring, the tea might still taste bad.
When the tea is almost at the bottom of the mug, add some more tea (tap water is ok). Stir for two minutes and drink the rest of the liquid.
Repeat the last step once more. You don’t have to consume the shrooms that remain in the bottom of the mug.
So what just happened?
Psilocybin is the psychedelic compound found in magic mushrooms. It is water soluble.
By stirring the magic mushrooms into the tea, the psilocybin has been transferred into the tea. By consuming the tea, the psilocybin is now in your stomach!
Did you know?
Most people will start to trip before they finish the 3rd cup of shroom tea!
It’s surprising to most people how quickly the psilocybin absorbs into their body once they drink the shroom tea!
When you drink shroom tea, most people will start feel the psychedelics effects of the mushrooms within 15 minutes!
The last time I did shrooms tea, I checked my phone at the 17 minute mark, and it was starting to move on it’s own…
Pro-Tip:
You’ll need 25% more magic mushrooms than if you ate them. So if you decided to consume 2 grams of shrooms, you’ll need 2.5g of magic mushrooms to put into the tea to get the same effect.
So purchase a bit more, and enjoy your shroom tea!
Food for thought:
If you’ve ever looked at the bottom of the mug after you’ve drank your shroom tea, you’ll see the shriveled remains of the wet mushrooms. You’ll also notice the nausea or stomach-queasiness that sometimes accompanies shroom ingestion is absent.
The shroom tea extracted most of the psilocybin from the mushrooms, and you didn’t have to to consume the actual mushrooms. It’s the actual mushrooms that tend to make most people nauseas.
Moral:
Magic mushrooms are mystical gifts from the Earth, meant to be experienced & enjoyed by the entire world.
Your body will feel amazing, and you’ll be happier than you’ve ever been. You’ll feel a connection to nature, and objects & people will start to move & glow…
Don’t let the bad taste or fear of an upset stomach make you miss out on Mother Nature’s psychedelic gift.
